We now seek a CI Engineering to join the growing team in Letterkenny.
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer is responsible for leading and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects (e.g. Lean and Lean Six Sigma initiatives) to improve department performance in alignment with key initiatives across the organization.
Be part of a highly skilled team of change agents working with all areas of assigned departments as well as aspects related to external customers and suppliers when applicable.
Develop, execute and sustain effective process improvements that drive KPI improvements utilizing Vertiv Operating System (VOS) methodologies.
Under the direction of the VOS Manager, but as an individual contributor you will:
Serve as a change agent by driving the required cultural transformation and the adoption of successful process improvement practices and by diagnosing barriers to project success and facilitating resolution.
Leads assigned departments' business improvement projects including data analysis, preparation & planning, change management, and training of CI methodology e.g. Lean manufacturing.
Share responsibility for process improvement with assigned departments' manager.
About the role:
Directly impacts assigned department's core processes.
Frequently interacts with peer groups, normally involving information/best practice exchange, basic problem resolution and process improvement opportunities identification.
Leads change initiatives and drives process excellence.
Leads facility VOS communications, education and training.
Implements site analysis including baseline of assigned departments business processes and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement.
Partners with department manager to develop and deploy VOS strategy.
About you:
We are seeking a results-driven professional with a proven track record of operational execution and experience leading diverse teams to achieve shared objectives. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and similar business software, including word processing, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and presentation tools. They will possess excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation and work within a matrix management environment. The role requires strong organisational and project management capabilities, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and a focus on delivering high-quality results. Candidates should demonstrate leadership without formal authority, embrace change and ambiguity, apply systems thinking to drive continuous improvement, and influence positive change while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
