The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining plant equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, and supporting operational excellence initiatives. Key responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and electrical systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on plant equipment, control systems, and automation
- Support rapid response to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC logic (where applicable)
- Carry out electrical maintenance on site infrastructure, including:
- Lighting systems (internal & external)
- Power distribution boards and circuits
- HVAC and building services systems
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting systems

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Installation
- Time-served electrician / apprenticeship completed
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and automation (PLC experience desirable)
- Knowledge of electrical regulations and safe isolation procedures
- Experience with fault finding on production machinery and plant equipment

- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and safety awareness
