Join a business where your engineering expertise keeps production moving. We are currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join our manufacturing team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our machinery and supporting equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
- Carrying out predictive maintenance using Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime
- Maintaining accurate service records, logs, and calibration documentation
- Working with OEMs and external contractors for specialist repairs
- Implementing 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Supporting production teams during breakdowns to minimise disruption
- Ensuring full compliance with PUWER, LOLER, and EHS regulations
- Managing spares, technical documentation, and equipment manuals
- Training operators on daily checks and basic maintenance tasks

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude with flexibility and adaptability
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience maintaining CNC or automated machinery (Punch / Press Brake)
- Knowledge of TPM, PPM systems, and CMMS software
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Good PC skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
