We are seeking a proactive and hands‑on Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join our team at the Campsie site, Derry/Londonderry. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production equipment, helping to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and calibration documentation.
- Liaise with OEMs and specialist contractors when required.
- Support the implementation of TPM and 5S initiatives.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and support production teams to minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations, including PUWER and LOLER.
- Manage spare parts inventory and technical documentation.
- Train and support operators with daily equipment checks and basic maintenance activities.
Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, proactive, and solution‑focused approach.
- Flexible approach to working shift patterns, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience
- Experience working with CNC, automated manufacturing equipment, Punch, or Press Brake machinery.
- Knowledge of TPM, PPM systems, and CMMS software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
