We are currently seeking a motivated and detail‑focused CNC Operator to join our expanding Sheet Metal Department in Campsie site, Derry/Londonderry. As a CNC Operator, you will play a key role in the manufacture of modular components for Electrical Switchgear systems. Using advanced Trumpf Punching and Bending machinery, you will be responsible for producing high‑quality metal components to exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC Punching and Robotic Bending machines.
- Manufacture precision components for LV & MV switchgear systems.
- Adjust machine settings including speeds and feeds based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload materials while ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Carry out detailed quality inspections against 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, welding, and assembly teams to meet production targets.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain accurate machine settings, maintenance logs, and production records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong CNC programming, operating, and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong problem‑solving ability with a proactive approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Additional Skills & Experience
- Technical training or certification in CNC, Welding, Automation, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Knowledge of GD&T and material specifications, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and strong communication and teamwork skills would be advantageous in this role.
