The Continuous Improvement Manager or Vertiv Operating System Manager (VOS Manager) is an operational role where you are responsible for planning, developing, and implementing lean manufacturing processes, including the deployment of the VOS operating system. You will oversee all continuous improvement projects and the standardization of the company's manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement strategies in alignment with company goals, developing execution plans for performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with operations managers and team leaders.
  • Within the lean manufacturing methodology, develop the capabilities of management and employees, and create sustainable models for managing daily problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and coach operational leaders to integrate functions across the full value chain, driving initiatives improvements to reduce lead times, improve customer service levels, lower operational costs, and enhance cash flow.
  • Develop the team's continuous improvement capabilities and lead ongoing enhancement of Vertiv's standards, processes, and methods.
  • Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of VOS (operating system) Coordinators and their support staff.
  • Ensure alignment with and adherence to VOS specifications and framework; ensure that employees operate in compliance with VOS guidelines.
  • Lead the VOS Steering Committee.
  • Responsible for managing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Make decisions with direct impact on company operations and customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate regularly with subordinates, customers, and peer groups across various management levels.
  • Initiate change and lead performance improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and be accountable for VOS-related communication, education, and training.
  • Conduct analysis of the local Vertiv site, including operational baselines, financial analysis, and ongoing performance measurement and improvement.
  • Work closely with the Regional VOS Leader on the development and deployment of the VOS strategy.
  • Ensure consistency of approaches across initiatives and sites.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager (Plant Manager).
  • Work in compliance with international trade rules (ITC).
  • Submit improvement proposals within the continuous improvement system in line with company goals.
  • Respect environmental protection principles.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in applying and coaching change management, behaviour coaching, and performance management methods.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience applying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Leadership skills to manage workflow and lead a team.
  • Analytical skills, including the use of statistical modelling methods, root cause analysis, and other tools and techniques commonly used to support operational improvements.
  • English - fluent.
  • MS Office Professional (Excel, Access).
