Apprentice UPS Customer Service Engineer

Overview

Apprentice UPS Customer Service Engineer. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified UPS Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake and successfully complete the Vertiv training program
  • Keep and update training records as required within the apprenticeship framework to achieve training targets
  • Assist UPS Field Service/Battery Engineers/Technicians in the following service activities:
  • Providing a Commissioning, Maintenance and Repair service on UPS equipment supplied or maintained by Vertiv
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Carry out contract maintenance and inspection on a planned basis to required standards
  • Identify opportunities for extra work and preventative recommendations
  • Remedial work to contract customers either as planned work or as a call out facility
  • Completion and submission of relevant reports to service administration within a timely manner following all site activity

Qualifications

  • To be considered for this role you will ideally need GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the program.
