The National Account Manager position is a key role within the Enterprise, Commercial & Light Industrial team, responsible for managing a defined number of high priority accounts within the enterprise market vertical. This includes managing the full portfolio of products (LV Switchgear & Busbar, ACP UPS, ELS, and Thermal Management) that Vertiv sells to Enterprise customers. The primary revenue streams associated with this line of business will hinge on effective engagement within the End-User, Consultant, and Contractor community.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring continued growth by maximising sales opportunities for new products to these customers.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with allocated accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Promoting Vertiv’s product offerings, focusing on Busbar/Switchgear/ACP Power Products & Thermal Management solutions.
  • Informing accounts of new product developments and service offerings applicable to their business.
  • Commercially developing and leading new opportunities within the account.
  • Engaging with dedicated marketing activities for Vertiv products and services.
  • Developing and managing account plans that define the strategy for growing and retaining business.
  • Participating in pipeline creation calls, demand generation, and activity planning sessions.
  • Monitoring the market, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting them to the business.
  • Coordinating presentations to key stakeholders, including organisational capabilities and technical deep-dives.
  • Utilising reporting and forecasting platforms to facilitate pipeline discipline and growth.
  • Increasing Vertiv’s market share and meeting/exceeding budget numbers in terms of Orders, Sales, GM/EBITDA.

Expectations include contributing to teamwork and knowledge sharing, focusing on self-growth and development, being innovative, and owning your job with sound ethics and responsibility.

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an account management environment.
  • Extensive commercial experience to identify and understand customers’ needs.
  • Understanding of the enterprise industry and sub-segments.
  • Knowledge of LV Switchgear and Busbar, UPS, ELS Topology.
  • Experience in commercial negotiations and stakeholder mapping.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sales background with experience in critical engineering applications.
  • Planning, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work proactively under own initiative and in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Driving License.

Working conditions require travel within the UK & Europe in support of customers and the wider business, occasionally requiring overnight stays outside of the primary territory.
