Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, seeks an Apprentice UPS Customer Service Engineer to assist in commissioning, maintaining, and repairing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, batteries, emergency lighting, static transfer switches (STS), and site monitoring equipment for mission-critical sites like data centers. Upon completion (typically 2-4 years), you will qualify as a full UPS Engineer with potential for permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Vertiv's structured training program and maintain accurate training records to meet apprenticeship targets.
- Assist Field Service/Battery Engineers with UPS commissioning, planned maintenance, fault finding, rectification, and remedial callouts.
- Conduct contract inspections to Vertiv standards, identify preventative maintenance opportunities, and submit timely site reports.
- Build customer rapport to promote Vertiv's reputation while adhering to health, safety, quality, and EHS processes.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE grades 9-4 (A*-C) in English and Maths, or commitment to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills.
- Clean, valid UK driving license (essential for 100% travel).
