LC & HD & Systems Sr. Principal Engineer with design leadership in mechanical product and system design. Technical
authority on multiple associated disciplines (Thermal, Structural, Fluid Dynamics, Main Component Selection, e.g. pumps
and Heat Exchangers).
Business Unit Job Summary: LC & HD & Systems Sr. Principal Engineer working closely with Engineering and other Stakeholders to Introduce conceptual designs of New liquid cooling Products, and new features and benefits to existing cooling products/systems. Working with technologist to crystalise customer needs into defined requirements for products and systems.
Responsibilities:
Work With Technologist to establish clear product requirements from market needs.
Creating product concepts derived from product requirements that meet the objectives.
Balancing key aspects in design that may be conflicting such as size vs serviceability, standard vs cost, performance vs weight and size etc.
Component selection
Working with design teams for mechanical and electrical to guide their detailed design work in alignment with initial design vision without compromise.
Help design teams in aspects of manufacturability, processes that might be needed vs plant capability and serviceability vs installed context and skills available in the field.
Enhance team talent with mentorship, guidance, coaching and training in the disciplines one is expert in.
Education & Certifications:
Minimum Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Post Graduate Preferable
Good Skills with Microsoft Office tools for management reporting
3D CAD Skills to ideate and crystalise design concepts and articulate to stake holders
Know how in associated manufacturing techniques, supplier base, competition and market drivers
Requirements:
10+ yearsβ experience in engineering projects with OEM, HVAC or Datacentre customers
Talent in field Of HVAC for Mechanical engineering, thermal and fluid dynamics
Added Candidature for Having Business Management \\ Project Management Studies
Strong Technical credentials in product development to global requirements (safety standards and electrical deviations etc.)
Good understanding of New Product Development Processes working with multidisciplinary teams from different Regions
Good Understanding of controls & hydraulic systems
Knowledge required of sheet metal & pipework fabrication
Familiarity with MTBF/MTTR & FMEA procedures
Keep abreast of & explore new technologies
Strong Communication Skills and role model to team
Sound analytical skills to Solve complex engineering problems
Having good business acumen to align with company objectives
Good understanding of standards required in discipline (EMC, UL, CE etc.)
