Position SummaryProject Managers play a critical role in managing all aspects of a project, from planning and execution to delivery. Their leadership and management skills are essential for ensuring projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities- Planning and overseeing multiple projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget, plan and manage design through Eng department, designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifespan.
- Determine and define project scope and objective.
- Plan, manage, and monitor progress against our standards and procedures whilst maintaining and promoting best practice.
- Manage finances against budgets and targets.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with our staff and customers through proactive management.
- Promote and participate in innovations and best practices. Keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the business maintains its competitive position, through innovation and current industry best practice.
- Promote the business in all interactions and communications with customers.
- Serve as a point of escalation and a reliable go-to person when assistance is needed—a supportive presence ready to lend a helping hand or provide advice on Project matters.
- Responsible for fostering collaboration, assigning responsibilities, and providing guidance to ensure cohesive and effective teamwork.
- Supervise the progress of team projects, monitor their advancement within the project timeline, and relay the team's status to the Project Delivery Manager for assessment.
- Facilitate clear and regular communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management. Provide updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues that may impact delivery.
- Management of a personal portfolio of Colocation and Independent Project Accounts, to include the planning, management, and reporting maintenance of associated Projects throughout their natural life cycle.
- Contribute to the supervision, organisation, and assignment of personnel within the Project Delivery Department to suitable Accounts and Projects, assisting with the identification of key personnel internal within the business necessary for proactive functional.
- Providing oversight and direction regarding Project Task Planning, considering dependencies of multiple inter-dependent departments.
- Development and maintenance of Reporting Structures, with special concentration on Risk Management Mitigation, and Commercial Performance Reports.
- Provide leadership and discipline in the development of a proactive risk management environment by promotion and usage of effective reporting structures and principles.
- Champion the development of processes based upon the principles of Lean Manufacturing. Identifying deficiencies within existing Management processes, and producing proposals for the optimisation of through suitable management tools such as Flow Charts, Process Mapping, "Five Whys" learning etc.
- Third Level Education in Engineering or any applicable course (is desirable, but not pre-requisite)
- 3 year work-based experience in similar role
Standard office environment.
Time Travel RequiredIntermittent travel to various production facilities and site locations.
