We are currently seeking a motivated and detail‑focused CNC Operator to join our expanding Sheet Metal Department in Campsie site, Derry/Londonderry. As a CNC Operator, you will play a key role in the manufacture of modular components for Electrical Switchgear systems. Using advanced Trumpf Punching and Bending machinery, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components to exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC Punching and Robotic Bending machines.
- Manufacture precision components for LV & MV switchgear systems.
- Adjust machine settings including speeds and feeds based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload materials while ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Carry out detailed quality inspections against 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, welding, and assembly teams to meet production targets.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain accurate machine settings, maintenance logs, and production records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong CNC programming, operating, and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong problem‑solving ability with a proactive approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Additional Skills & Experience
- Technical training or certification in CNC, Welding, Automation, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Knowledge of GD&T and material specifications, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and strong communication and teamwork skills would be advantageous in this role.
