The Data & Digital Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and effective use of clinical and operational data across services. The post holder will support data collection, reporting, digital system optimisation, and staff engagement to enable high-quality service delivery, performance monitoring, and compliance with NHS reporting standards. The role requires strong experience using EMIS, NHS digital systems, data quality processes, SNOMED coding, and the ability to analyse and present meaningful data to inform decision making.

Job responsibilities
- Data Quality & Management
- Ensure high standards of data quality by routinely running EMIS population reporting searches to identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent data.
- Amend and correct data in EMIS in line with agreed service processes, clinical coding standards, and information governance requirements.
- Apply and maintain SNOMED CT coding accurately to support reporting, population health, and contractual requirements.
- Support services in maintaining accurate and complete datasets for performance, audit and commissioning purposes.
- EMIS Templates & Digital Development
- Support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of EMIS templates, ensuring alignment with service data collection and reporting requirements.
- Implement template updates and improvements following service feedback once templates are live.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to ensure templates are user-friendly, efficient, and fit for purpose.
- Power Apps & Power Pages
- Support the development and testing of Power Apps Canvas Apps to digitise and streamline operational and clinical workflows across federation services.
- Assist in the build and maintenance of Power Pages portals to support patient-facing or staff-facing digital services, working with the wider digital team to ensure content, forms, and data connections are accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from clinical and operational staff to inform iterative improvements to Power Platform solutions.
- Support staff in adopting new Power Apps and Power Pages tools, including providing guidance, user documentation, and hands-on training as solutions are rolled out.
- Reporting & Data Analysis
- Run and extract EMIS search data to support Power BI dashboards and other reporting tools.
- Analyse, interpret, and present data clearly in written and visual report formats for a range of audiences.
- Support the creation of ad-hoc reports in response to service, performance, or commissioning needs.
- Use Microsoft Excel to organise, analyse, and validate datasets, including basic formulas and data checks.
- Staff Support & Training
- Train and support clinical and non-clinical staff on data entry and coding requirements, promoting consistent and accurate data capture.
- Provide guidance on digital systems including EMIS, Accurx, Surgery Connect, and eRS.
- Act as a point of contact for data related queries, offering practical and timely advice.
- Documentation & Standard Operating Procedures
- Support the development and maintenance of data inputting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure SOPs reflect current system functionality, coding requirements, and best practice.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and digital workflows.

Person Specification
- Experience using EMIS Population Reporting.
- Knowledge and practical experience of SNOMED CT coding.

- Ability to analyse, interpret, and present data clearly in report format.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. filtering, formulas, data validation).
