The Lincoln Suites offers guests a unique experience compared to traditional hotels. With us, guests will find somewhere that feels like a home. All our rooms are suites, offering more living and working space than you would find in a conventional hotel guest room.

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Front of House team is responsible for first impressions, and this means everything to our guests. You will be the benchmark for customer care throughout their stay. Your genuine warmth will shine through, and you will be confident in answering questions and offering information about hotel services, facilities and the local area. You will go the extra mile to make our guests’ stay even more special. Your ultimate role is to make sure all our guests leave us happy.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide a great guest experience by enabling a smooth arrival and departure experience, including rooming guests and delivering luggage when required.
  • Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel, and pass this information on to guests whenever the opportunity arises to maximise hotel sales.
  • Ensure you are aware of hotel availability and take every opportunity to maximise room sales.
  • Increase room revenue by supporting effective room category upselling.
  • Anticipate guest needs, act upon and follow up guest requests, and deliver a level of service and responsiveness that generates compliments.
  • Ensure all charges are correctly posted to guests’ bills, following standard procedures.
  • Deal with cash and card transactions in accordance with hotel and company policy, ensuring any discrepancies are reported immediately.
  • Ensure all messages received for guests are passed on accurately and as quickly as possible.
  • Carry out security checks at regular intervals, with special emphasis on security, fire and safety.
  • Check hotel guests in and out and assist with luggage when required.
  • Operate the hotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls according to procedure.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of the local area, including places of interest, transport links, restaurants and special events.
  • Action early morning calls at the specified time and to the required standards.
  • Carry out cleaning of areas as requested.
  • Complete all relevant training as and when required.
  • Show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of, and adhere to, company policies and legal requirements, including: Fire regulations and night-time evacuation procedures, Health and Safety regulations, First aid procedures.

What are we looking for?

The ability to work unsupervised and strong communication skills are key for this role. Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is preferred. You will always strive to deliver a great service for our guests. You will be proactive and able to complete tasks efficiently, following up where necessary. You will be passionate about hospitality and high standards. You will have a keen eye for detail. You will have excellent organisational skills. You will remain calm while working under pressure. Previous experience with MEWS is preferred but not essential.
