For the most part, you will work alone in the kitchen preparing simple dishes and fresh pizzas, as well as preparing any buffets for groups. This position mainly consists of evening shifts but will require the occasional morning shift.

YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:

  • Prepares, cooks, serves dishes in line with menu specifications
  • Be able to work on your own in the kitchen
  • Be able to work with pizza oven and fresh baked pizza
  • Follow hotel Health and safety guidelines
  • Follow hotel food safety guidelines
  • Communicates to Line Manager any difficulties, guest or internal customer comments and other relevant information
  • Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
  • Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service
  • Cleans and re-sets his/her working area

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Previous experience in a Chef De Partie role in a hotel (Marriott Brand is preferred)
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and multitask
  • Strong communication skills
