Your Role: As a Solutions Architect at Vertice, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing solutions across the Vertice platform — with a strong focus on Intelligent Workflows (IW). You’ll work hands-on with customers to design architectures, build integrations, and configure workflows that drive automation and efficiency across procurement, finance, and vendor management. This is a customer-facing, technically hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex integration challenges and translating business needs into scalable technical solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with customers, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth and impactful deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead onboarding and solution design for new customers, focusing on procurement and workflow automation use cases.
  • Own the end-to-end technical implementation across Vertice products — including configuration, integration, and testing.
  • Design and implement API-based integrations between Vertice and customer systems (ERP, CLM, ITSM, TPRM, etc.).
  • Read and interpret API documentation to define data flows, mappings, and authentication methods (OAuth2, API keys, SSO).
  • Be hands-on in building, testing, and deploying integrations using tools like Postman, Workato, n8n, or similar.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to validate feasibility, debug integration issues, and shape roadmap priorities.
  • Conduct customer workshops, training, and enablement sessions to ensure strong adoption.
  • Manage multiple implementation projects in parallel, maintaining high quality and clear communication.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for configuration, customization, and integration-related queries.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to improve deployment frameworks and overall customer experience.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Implementation within SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, including reading documentation, building payloads, and handling authentication flows.
  • Proven ability to design, configure, and deploy API-based integration workflows between enterprise systems.
  • Skilled in data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) and comfortable using API tools (Postman, Swagger, cURL).
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive problem solver who enjoys owning technical challenges and making customers successful.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with procurement, finance, or IT tools like NetSuite, Coupa, Ironclad, Workday, OneTrust, or SAP Ariba.
  • Experience with workflow automation or iPaaS tools such as Workato, n8n, MuleSoft, or Zapier.
  • Basic scripting ability (Python, JavaScript) for light data manipulation or workflow automation.
  • Experience designing scalable integration frameworks in high-growth SaaS environments.

How to prepare for a job interview at Vertice

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Vertice uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
