As a Senior Procurement Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in optimising SaaS procurement for our customers across the region. You'll partner closely to develop strategic sourcing plans, navigate complex negotiations with key SaaS vendors, and oversee supplier relationships throughout their lifecycle. Your proven track record in saving costs will be instrumental in maximising value for our customers. This is a key role, ready to make a significant impact on our enterprise customer success.
Work closely with the rest of the Procurement and Account Management team, with responsibility for delivering great outcomes to our customers by delivering commercial strategies while negotiating SaaS purchases and renewals with their vendors.
Responsibilities- Accountable for Vertice’s service delivery into a portfolio of the most strategic accounts supported by Vertice’s broader delivery capability and resources, as a senior member of a delivery team.
- Work with a range of customers, some of the fastest growing and best known in the world, negotiating SaaS deals on their behalf.
- Work closely with the Vertice account management and sales teams to maintain strong relationships with our customers.
- Act as the primary buy‑side contact for our customers, ensuring that their commercial objectives are met.
- Accountable for Vertice’s delivery into those clients, including coaching more junior colleagues to deliver high quality outcomes for clients.
- Work alongside customers to develop software commercial category strategies, jointly targeting the areas of greatest commercial benefit.
- Work with C‑suite and senior stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their requirements, purchase objectives and technology strategy.
- Clear, confident and compelling communicator – in writing, in conversation and in front of C‑suite stakeholders.
- Provide strategic insight to customers, understanding their challenges, pain points and opportunities.
- Bring real negotiation expertise with an in-depth knowledge of the levers and strategies to get the best result across from SaaS vendors.
- Creative thinker that challenges customers and suppliers to help reach desired outcomes.
- Expert in the project management of commercial processes.
- Effective in managing stakeholder expectations, providing constructive challenge and ensuring all key objectives and timelines are met.
- Commercial experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or procurement consulting.
- Category experience in technology (including SaaS) is highly preferred.
