We are working in partnership with an established and forward-thinking independent consultancy who are seeking a bright, ambitious Quantity Surveyor with 2 to 4 years' experience to join their Manchester-based team. The business is known for its quality of service, strong client relationships, and people-first culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently on the APC pathway (or recently chartered) who wants to gain meaningful, hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of projects spanning commercial development, leisure & hospitality, education, and public sector regeneration, particularly in collaboration with local authorities and public bodies.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services
- Assist with cost planning, procurement, tendering and contract administration
- Take ownership of smaller projects under supervision, while contributing to larger schemes as part of a wider team
- Work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Support senior colleagues with cost reporting, value engineering and risk management
- Progress towards RICS chartership with structured support and mentoring
- 2–4 years’ experience in a PQS or consultancy environment
- Enrolled on the APC or working towards MRICS accreditation
- Experience working across one or more sectors such as commercial, leisure, education, or local authority/public sector projects
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
- Enthusiastic and adaptable team player with a proactive approach to learning and development
