Vertical Recruitment is working with an award-winning, employee-owned Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy. They’re involved in the design of buildings across a wide range of commercial, residential, leisure and industrial projects throughout the UK.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (2:1 or above) on an ICE or IStructE accredited course
  • 1–2 years’ experience within a Civil or Structural Engineering environment
  • A genuine interest in the design of the built environment
  • A desire to progress towards Chartered Engineer status (IStructE)

You’ll be involved in:

  • Preparing calculations from feasibility through to detailed design and construction level, both by hand and using software such as Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer
  • Assisting with or carrying out site inspections and surveys
  • Working closely with a team of experienced engineers and technicians
  • Attending design team meetings and coordinating work with other professionals, including Architects, M&E Engineers and the in-house Civils team

This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Manchester office, located in the Northern Quarter.
