Vertical Recruitment are exclusively working with an award-winning architectural practice located in South Manchester who provide bespoke architecture and master planning services for a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, education, and healthcare. Due to continued growth and success, they are looking for an experienced Architect to join and head up one of their specialist teams.
This is a unique opportunity, as it offers clear career progression, with a genuine path to gaining equity in the business. As the Associate Architect, you will head up a highly creative and collaborative team in a leadership role. This will be an all-encompassing position where you’ll play a hand in all aspects from management, design, client management, and business development.
Project Responsibilities:
- You will have the opportunity to work on all RIBA stages, however the main requirement for this role is for an Architect to have strong technical ability especially for Stage 3 layouts and Stage 4 detailed design.
- You will need to be happy working within a small team with the majority of time focused on drawing and design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee design and management activities.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Communicate confidently and decisively to ensure programme milestones are met.
- Design and deliver various schemes with a focus on quality and innovation.
- Develop and secure new business opportunities within the sector.
Skills and Qualifications:
- ARB-registered Architect
- Minimum of 10 years' post-Part III experience
- Experience within the Education sector (Advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent Revit and AutoCAD skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and to a high standard.
- Aptitude for business development and client acquisition.
- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
