Our client is a leading Multi-Discipline Consultancy based in Manchester with offices in the UK and overseas. The desired candidate will be part of an established and growing Fire Engineering team working across numerous sectors including commercial, industrial, health, residential, retail and education within the UK and International markets. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
Candidates must have the following experience:
- Over 3 years of relevant experience within Fire Engineering.
- Degree in fire engineering or another relevant subject.
- Experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
- Extensive experience in delivering fire engineered solutions for UK based projects.
- Demonstrate relevant “hands-on” professional experience.
- Familiar with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- A strong focus on time and resource management.
- Ability to identify, develop and grow profitable commercial relationships with clients.
- Flexibility to work in other areas of the business where required.
Your role and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Beginning to take an increasing role in project management responsibilities on projects and on research initiatives.
- Develop your skills and leadership qualities, aiming towards becoming a lead Engineer on small to medium fire engineering projects.
- Assist with development of Fire strategies for large scale projects.
- Experience of applying fire engineering in the design of buildings and architecture.
- Review Fire engineering calculations including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis.
- Build knowledge to identify and specify fire protection systems, fire detection and/or suppression to support fire design solutions.
