Project Overview
We are recruiting for an Electrical Project Manager to oversee a £1mil electrical installation works on a Life Sciences / Laboratory project. This is a long-term contract opportunity. The role will suit someone comfortable managing straightforward electrical packages, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day delivery of electrical installation works on site
- Take responsibility for an electrical package, ensuring programme, quality, and commercial targets are met
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, site procedures, and RAMS
- Monitor programme, progress, and quality of works
- Attend site meetings and liaise with client, main contractor, and design teams
- Manage materials, short-term planning, and logistics
- Identify and resolve site issues quickly and pragmatically
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover where required
- Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
Required Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Supervisor, or similar role
- Experience managing £million-value electrical packages
- Background delivering electrical installation projects (commercial, laboratory, healthcare, or industrial preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and site coordination
- Good knowledge of health & safety and site compliance
- Ability to manage subcontractors and programme delivery
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- SMSTS / SSSTS preferred
