Vertical Recruitment are working with a well-established, multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor into their growing London team. This is a varied and client-facing role, offering a strong mix of project and professional work across commercial property. You’ll have the opportunity to lead on instructions, work closely with clients, and support the development of junior team members.
The Role
- Undertaking inspections and advising on the design, construction, maintenance and refurbishment of commercial buildings
- Preparing reports, specifications and schedules of work
- Leading refurbishment and repair schemes as Contract Administrator and/or Project Manager
- Acting as Lead Consultant on larger projects, coordinating wider consultant teams
- Delivering dilapidations work, including schedules, assessments and negotiations
- Advising on key legislation including Building Regulations, Party Wall and Building Safety
- Supporting APC candidates and contributing to team development
About You
- MRICS qualified (essential)
- Strong background in commercial building surveying within a consultancy environment
- Experience across both professional services and project delivery
- Confident client-facing with a proactive, commercial approach
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is advantageous
