We are currently supporting an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy with a strong UK and international presence. The business has built a strong reputation delivering complex, large-scale projects across the industrial, logistics, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.
Based within their North West office, this role sits within a highly collaborative cost management team working across a growing portfolio of data centre projects. The environment is supportive and development-focused, with a strong emphasis on early responsibility, structured progression, and exposure to high-value projects.
The Role
This position will focus on pre-construction cost management and infrastructure-led schemes within the data centre sector. The successful candidate will be involved in early-stage commercial support, cost planning, procurement, and project analysis work supporting the delivery of technically complex developments.
You will work closely with senior members of the team to deliver accurate cost advice, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the successful delivery of major programmes of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pre-construction cost planning and feasibility work
- Assisting with cost modelling and commercial analysis
- Procurement support and tender documentation preparation
- Assisting with contract administration and reporting
- Measuring works and preparing cost plans and estimates
- Working closely with senior QS team members on live projects
- Supporting infrastructure and mission-critical developments through early project stages
- Engaging with clients and design teams where appropriate
Requirements
- Exposure to pre-construction or early-stage project work preferred
- Interest or experience within data centre, infrastructure, industrial, or complex construction projects advantageous
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or working towards)
- Ambition to progress within a structured and high-performing team
