They are seeking talented individuals to join the team working alongside a leading UK energy organisation, supporting projects across renewable energy generation, electricity network upgrades, battery storage facilities, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Role Overview
The Assistant Project Manager will be based within the consultancy but seconded into a leading UK energy organisation, working as part of a wider project management team delivering major infrastructure and low-carbon energy programmes. The role will support the delivery of complex energy projects including renewable generation assets such as wind farms, battery storage systems, electricity network modernisation, and EV charging infrastructure. Working under NEC contract frameworks, the position will involve supporting project coordination, governance, and administrative delivery across multiple workstreams. This is a hybrid role, typically requiring 2-3 days in the office with the remainder working remotely, with the position based in Birkenhead.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in the coordination and delivery of major energy infrastructure projects
- Assist with day-to-day project administration, reporting, and document control
- Maintain project programmes, trackers, and key milestone schedules
- Support NEC contract administration processes where required
- Coordinate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external contractors
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and action logs for project meetings
- Assist in monitoring risks, issues, and change control processes
- Provide general project support to ensure effective delivery across multiple workstreams
