Associate Mechanical Engineer The business is currently seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join the dynamic engineering team. This role involves working on the design and development of Data Centre/Mission Critical facilities. It\’s a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment, contributing from concept development through to final commissioning support. Assist the Group Leader in project delivery, leveraging support from junior engineers while upholding technical quality and professionalism. Support training and mentoring of engineers within the group. Produce detailed and installation HVAC designs for Data Centres in close collaboration with sales, technical, and project management teams. Manage and develop engineering resources in response to project needs, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with relevant regulations. Lead engineering design from concept through detailed design stages. Ensure all group outputs meet technical and quality standards through regular internal reviews and checks. Build and guide high-performing teams by setting objectives, monitoring progress, and fostering staff development. Implement and oversee QA processes across all projects. Adhere to relevant Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and 14001. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Proven experience in Data Centre mechanical systems is essential. Minimum of 6 years in engineering design and project management. Strong background in mechanical design across all project stages. Proficient in HVAC systems for critical facilities, including resilience planning and advanced cooling systems (e.g., chilled water and adiabatic cooling). Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design for commercial or institutional buildings. Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD. Demonstrated leadership and project management experience. Experience with an architectural/engineering or consulting firm.
