The Role:
They are currently looking for a Leader in our Civil Engineering Team in their head office in Manchester City Centre. The role involves the design of both highways and drainage, with a greater emphasis on the drainage design, as this forms a greater proportion of their day work.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supervising multiple projects, ensuring compliance with standards, timely delivery of information and quality of information.
- Resource planning for their team and assessing resource requirements from other teams.
- Leading and ensuring the team is working efficiently and effectively.
- Assisting other teams with resource support when needed.
- Attending resource meetings and making constructive contributions.
- Understanding project fees, drawdown, basis of appointment and assisting with negotiation of services.
- Reviewing and approving team’s timesheets and holiday requests.
- Ensuring regular team meetings are held and effective communication occurs.
- Briefing teams on tasks and ensuring the correct skills, training and tools are upheld.
- Carrying out appraisals for team members and creating constructive professional development.
- Engaging with performance management processes as required.
- Creating a positive atmosphere and leading by example.
- Forming good relations with clients and staff.
