About the Role
A leading multi-disciplinary Building Services Consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join one of their regional offices in Birmingham or Solihull.
The business delivers mechanical, electrical and low-carbon solutions across a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, pharmaceutical, and public sector projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and sustainability-focused consultancy, working on technically complex and meaningful projects.
You’ll lead project delivery, support junior engineers, and help drive innovation across the Electrical team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design across a range of sectors
- Deliver low-carbon, energy-efficient building services solutions
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Attend client meetings and present technical information
- Produce calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Oversee quality control and ensure technical excellence
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams
- What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in Electrical Building Services Design
- Minimum 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience with Amtech, Revit, Dialux/Relux, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regs, and ideally HTMs
- Project background in healthcare, education, residential, or commercial sectors
- Chartered or working towards it (CIBSE, IET)
- Strong communication and project leadership skills
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration and BREEAM (ideal not essential)
