We’re proud to be partnering with a leading consultancy to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major gas transmission and storage infrastructure programme with a major UK gas supplier. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in nationally significant energy projects, supporting the delivery of complex gas transmission and storage facilities that are helping to shape the UK’s energy future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support commercial management and cost control across major gas transmission and storage projects.
  • Assist with NEC contract administration, variations, and compensation events.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to monitor performance and project value.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports under the guidance of senior colleagues.
  • Contribute to pre-construction and construction activities, including risk management and stakeholder reporting.
  • Provide input on cost management, procurement, and project financial planning.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven civil engineering or civils-focused Quantity Surveying experience, ideally within infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management practices.
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; RICS accreditation or progress toward chartership is advantageous.
  • Excellent financial management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships.
