Mechanical Site Manager Location: Manchester Employment type: Contracting position Duration: 12 Month contract Rate: £275 – £325 Per Day Vertical Recruitment has partnered with a leading Building Services Contractor based in Manchester, who are known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical projects across the Northwest. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join them on a 12 Month Contract in Manchester. You will take ownership of mechanical works on site, managing teams, subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. The project is a high-rise residential scheme with a value of £130 Million. Key Responsibilities: * Take full ownership of day-to-day mechanical installations on a high-rise site. * Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site operatives to ensure smooth delivery * Track progress against programme and budget, reporting issues proactively. * Maintain strict Health & Safety standards, delivering inductions and toolbox talks. * Act as the main point of contact for the Project Manager, clients, and wider project team. * Ensure all works are delivered in line with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Experience: * Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within building services projects. * Strong understanding of M&E building services, including commissioning and compliance standards. * Experience working for a main contractor or large M&E subcontractor. * Ability to read and interpret M&E technical drawings and specifications. * Excellent organisational, leadership, and team management skills. * Proven ability to supervise subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades effectively. * Available for a 12-month contract based in Manchester. Qualifications: * Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or building services (HNC/HND/Degree level desirable). * Must hold SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid certification
