M&E Quantity Surveyor · Location: Manchester · Employment type: Contracting position · Duration: 12 Month contract · Rate: £400 – £450 Per Day Vertical Recruitment has partnered with a leading Building Services Contractor based in Manchester, who are renowned for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical projects across the Northwest. They are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join them on a 12-month contract in Manchester. You will take ownership of the commercial and cost management of mechanical and electrical packages, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budget control, and full financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle. The project is a high-rise residential scheme with a value of £130 Million. Key Responsibilities: · Manage all commercial aspects of M&E projects, ensuring works are delivered on budget and within scope. · Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and tender documentation for mechanical and electrical services. · Monitor project costs, issue interim valuations, and manage subcontractor payments. · Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve commercial issues promptly. · Identify and manage financial and contractual risks, providing advice to the Project Manager. · Produce regular financial reports, forecasts, and final account documentation. Experience: · Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within building services projects. · Experience working on large M&E projects. · Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical services, cost measurement, and commercial management. · Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills. · Available for a 12-month contract based in Manchester. Qualifications: · Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or related discipline · RICS or CIOB membership (preferred) · CSCS card · SMSTS or equivalent (preferred)
