The business has a strong global presence with offices across the UK, Australia, Asia and New Zealand. Despite their international reach, they operate as one collaborative team, sharing expertise across offices and offering opportunities for international secondments in the future. They are known for delivering innovative engineering solutions across a wide range of projects and are continuing to grow their civil engineering team in Manchester.
The Role - As a Civil Design Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers on the design and delivery of infrastructure for residential and mixed use developments. The role offers excellent exposure to projects from early concept stages through to detailed design. You will be involved in areas such as drainage design, highways, external works and earthworks for development infrastructure schemes.
You will ideally:
- Hold a degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience in residential development design including drainage, highways, plot drainage, external works and earthworks
- Be confident using Civil 3D or similar design software
- Experience with Infodrainage or MicroDrainage, or similar drainage software
- Some knowledge of working with water authorities and processes such as S104 adoptions and S185 diversions
- Exposure to Flood Risk Assessments, feasibility studies or concept stage design
- Have an understanding of highways agreements such as S38 and S278
Experience working on major infrastructure projects such as HS2 would be beneficial but is not essential.
