As the Manchester office develops, the business is looking to appoint several key individuals. As such, there is a fantastic opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join the team. Successful applicants will have a relevant degree and 1-3 years of industry experience.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the successful preparation and delivery of project objectives, including providing technical support.
- Work with other engineers and project teams to ensure quality and timely project delivery for clients.
- Compile specifications, drawings, and relevant contract documents, maintaining the required technical quality of work and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Assist with elements and components of projects from concept design through to completion, executing Building Services Engineering activities within budget and schedule while maintaining technical integrity.
- Provide Electrical Building Services Engineering design for buildings and infrastructure.
- A relevant degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualification, or sufficient suitable experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in Electrical Building Services Engineering.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering codes, standards, and regulations.
- Desirable experience in data centre projects; previous building services experience will be accepted.
- An appreciation of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modelling in the design of buildings.
- Associate or student member of an appropriate professional body such as CIBSE or IET.
- Achieved or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Technical electrical knowledge and a strong understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Amtech, Dialux, and Microsoft Office.
