Associate Electrical Engineer – Birmingham £60,000 – £75,000 + Hybrid + Bonus + Car Allowance + National Consultancy + Diverse Range of Projects A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join their MEP team in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-profile design projects across multiple sectors while mentoring junior engineers and managing project teams. Role highlights: * Lead electrical building services design across RIBA stages, from concept to detailed design * Manage MEP design teams and oversee project delivery * Mentor and support junior team members * Liaise with architects, structural engineers, surveyors, and contractors * Ensure all designs meet legislative and health & safety requirements * Use CAD and Revit (BIM) software to develop system layouts and documentation * Attend client meetings and represent the MEP discipline professionally What they’re looking for: * Strong background in electrical building services design (consultancy or contractor side) * Experience managing project teams and delivering quality work * Accredited degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline * Chartered or working towards IEng/CEng status * Excellent communication, organisation, and client-facing skills * Commercial awareness and understanding of risk in project delivery Projects include: Science and research, advanced manufacturing, motorsport, education, defence, commercial, and residential developments.
