What to Expect
As a Senior BMS Algorithms Engineer, you will join a world class team comprised of leading aerospace and technology thinkers as well as some of the finest engineering talent.
A typical day could involve designing sophisticated BMS algorithms for thermal runaway detection, working closely with the Vehicle Modelling team to implement SOC, SOH, and SOF algorithms, or hands-on testing and debugging of algorithms within our high-voltage battery systems.
Your ability to work across multidisciplinary teams, manage complex deliverables, and provide technical leadership will be essential to your impact and success in this role.
What You\’ll Do

You will support Battery Management System development for in-house BMS/HW projects and design BMS algorithms used in HV battery systems.

You will work closely with the Vehicle Modelling team to implement SOC, SOH, SOF algorithms and design BMS algorithms for thermal runaway detection and charge control.

You will conduct hands-on testing and debugging of algorithms and integrate the algorithms within the BMS software.

You will coordinate external development suppliers and contractors when required, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.

You will lead integration and validation into the aircraft, supporting colleagues as needed and perform design reviews for BMS development, including DFMEA, FTA, FMECA and other critical analyses.

You will identify and track specific assignments and deliverables, providing day-to-day assessment on progress and outcomes of work streams.
What You\’ll Bring

Bachelor\’s degree in Applied Physics, Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, Systems, or Computer Engineering or related engineering field.

Extensive proven experience in BMS algorithm development and verification for aerospace or automotive applications.

Strong experience with Battery Management Systems and practical knowledge of Kalman Filters.

Experience with FMEA, DFMEA, FTA methodologies and requirements management processes.

Experience with functional safety and aircraft or automotive standards including DO-178, DO-254, ARP 4754, ARP 4761.

Fluent English language skills are essential for effective communication across our international team.
