Valo is targeting airliner-level safety certification in 2028 ahead of entering service with our airline and operator customers.

As a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing the Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Maintenance (CNS/M) systems that enable safe, certifiable and scalable flight.

Working within our Vehicle Systems team, you'll lead the definition, integration and certification of critical avionics systems across our e VTOL aircraft programme.

You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers and flight test teams to deliver robust, safety-critical solutions that meet the highest aviation standards.

Lead the design, development, integration and certification of aircraft Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Maintenance systems.

Capture and manage requirements within Vertical's systems engineering environment, ensuring full traceability and compliance.

Work closely with suppliers and internal engineering teams to deliver integrated avionics solutions.

Lead verification activities and ensure delivery of high-quality technical documentation.

Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and engineering approaches.

Degree in Avionics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

Significant experience in avionics systems engineering, ideally 8+ years within a regulated aerospace environment.

Experience delivering systems within civil aircraft certification programmes.

Experience using systems engineering, modelling and requirements management tools.

Previous experience leading engineering teams or technical workstreams.
