Our Mission
At Vertical Aerospace, we are pioneering the way for electric aviation. The VX4, our eVTOL (electric, vertical, take-off and landing), ‘zero emissions’ aircraft will set a new safety standard for how we will navigate the sky.
We won’t realise our mission following the same legacy processes and traditions our predecessors followed, instead, we want to ‘redefine’ aerospace best practices.
We are growing quickly from a prototype business to a scaling SME, and the next few years will be critical to our success and delivering on our ambitious goals of having the VX4 in service by 2030.
What to Expect
As a Stores and Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing our aircraft stores configuration in line with quality standards and certification requirements. You’ll ensure logistics operations run smoothly, from receiving and picking to transportation and delivery, while supporting wider programme activities both onsite and offsite. You’ll also be part of continuous improvement projects, working with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and deliver excellence.
What You’ll Do
-
Create and maintain robust processes to ensure all materials receipt, storage, and picking meet required standards.
-
Ensure aircraft parts are transported safely, on time, and to the correct location across the business.

-
Ensure full and correct utilisation of our ERP system (Infor), supporting development and continuous improvement of system processes.
-
Drive continuous improvement of stores operations through process reviews, projects, and cross-functional collaboration.
-
Collaborate with Procurement Officers to support inbound/outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and material availability.
-
Work closely with Production Leaders to integrate logistics planning into build schedules and ensure timely material delivery to line.
What You’ll Bring
-
Experience in logistics, warehousing or stores roles, ideally within the aerospace or automotive sectors.
-
Understanding of regulated store environments and compliance requirements (e.g., aircraft/test parts control).
-
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Infor preferred) and the ability to maintain and develop system use.
-
Strong organisational and planning skills, with attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
-
A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills, able to work across teams and departments.
-
A proactive mindset – willing to challenge the status quo and improve how things are done.
