What to expect
Based primarily at our Kemble site in the Cotswolds, this role places you at the centre of Vertical Aerospace’s live aircraft activity. You’ll be heavily involved in supporting our current prototype programme and play a key role as we transition into Velo pre‑production and production. This is a highly hands‑on position, working closely with design, test, and production teams to ensure EWIS and test‑support manufacturing processes are robust, compliant, and production‑ready.

What you’ll do

• Produce detailed process planning to support aircraft build and commissioning systems
• Provide daily on‑site shop floor support to resolve issues and maintain build progress
• Define and implement manufacturing requirements for complex aircraft systems, including EWIS, ensuring final product compliance
• Raise planning and commissioning cards in line with design intent
• Support aircraft and manufacturing facility commissioning and development activities
• Lead and contribute to concession activity, root cause analysis, and practical problem solving in a live aircraft environment

What you’ll bring
• Proven experience in the assembly and build of complex aircraft systems on live aircraft
• Strong understanding of manufacturing assembly and build principles, with technical signatory capability
• Demonstrated ability to develop manufacturing processes, requirements, and planning documentation
• Experience raising planning and commissioning cards based on design intent
• A collaborative approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines
• Experience supporting concession activity and structured problem solving
• Strong IT skills; experience with CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE is desirable
• Experience supporting aircraft and manufacturing facility commissioning and development
