Join the Supplier Management team based in Bristol as a Supplier Quality Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer with experience in Airframes to support the Supplier Management team with onboarding suppliers, ensuring they can deliver quality products and have the capability to support Vertical Aerospace’s expansion plans.

What success will look like for you, as a Supplier Quality Engineer?

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be required to assist in multiple aspects of developing our end-to-end Supplier Management strategy. This will involve onboarding suppliers, regular auditing to aerospace standards (Part21, AS9100), supporting supplier development, managing supplier performance, and supplier verification activities. It will also include managing supplier quality records and goods receiving controls. The role will require using KPI-driven data for supplier scorecards and process improvement activities.

You will report directly to the Head of Supplier Management and be a key member of the Supplier Management team, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge, and capabilities.

To achieve this, you will need to have experience working as a Supplier Quality professional in Aerospace, though other highly-regulated/safety-critical industries may be considered. Good knowledge of Airframes will be essential for the position. The position will require experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF16949) and quality tools such as PFMEA, 8D, 5Y, and process mapping.

It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have knowledge of CAA Part 21 requirements.
