As Senior Buyer, you will lead the procurement function and play a central role in optimising the organisation's sourcing strategy. You will manage supplier relationships, oversee day-to-day procurement operations, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers whilst building and maintaining strong, productive relationships.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives and cost targets.
- Monitor market trends and analyse purchasing data to optimise sourcing decisions and identify savings opportunities.
- Track and report on procurement key performance indicators to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with operations and finance teams on forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.
- Lead customer tender negotiations and conduct thorough supplier analysis to support business development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles with a strong track record of effective supplier management.
- Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive problem-solving approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
