The group supplies specialist performance clothing across sport, outdoor and workwear markets, and sells through wholesale, retail and e-commerce channels in the UK and overseas.This is a broad, hands on role reporting to the Finance Manager for the UK & Ireland. You’ll be central to the smooth running of the finance function and a trusted partner to the wider operational team.Responsibilities:Managing the month end process and producing management accounts for two entities, including prepayments, accruals and fixed assetsReconciling and managing all balance sheet accounts for monthly reviewLeading the monthly P&L analysis and presenting it in review meetingsWorking closely with the marketing team to prepare the annual budget and control ongoing spendSupporting the wider annual budgeting processPreparing information for the annual audit and corporation tax computationPreparing and submitting VAT returnsOverseeing postings and period close on the ERP systemProviding financial information and support to operational departmentsGuiding and supporting the Assistant AccountantsDriving process improvements, strong controls, and accurate, timely reportingRequirements:Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Strong technical accounting skills and excellent attention to detailAdvanced Excel, plus the ability to pick up new financial systems quicklyA proactive, personable communicator who is comfortable working with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersA self starter who is pragmatic and tenacious, and keeps looking for ways to improveOrganised and effective under pressure, and adaptable when priorities changeWhy apply?A varied role with real visibility across the businessClose working relationships with the Finance Manager, Retail Accountant and operational headsThe chance to make your mark in a well-established, growing international businessHybrid working: London head office with a proportion of time working from home
