As the Group Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in the company's success. You will develop and implement a purchasing strategy that aligns with the organisation's growth plan. This position is central to enhancing buying power and maximising working capital. You will achieve this through strategic sourcing, effective supplier management, and robust contract negotiation, directly contributing to the company's operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the group's purchasing strategy.
- Create an annual purchasing plan to optimise spend.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships.
- Negotiate optimal prices, payment terms, and contracts.
- Deliver annual improvements on key performance indicators.
- Manage the end-to-end purchase order process.
- Support new product development with strategic sourcing.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a similar purchasing role.
- Proficiency with Sage Line 200 accounting software.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- A CIPS qualification or Undergraduate Degree or equivalent working experience.
This is an on-site role with a salary bracket from £60,000-£65,000 plus bonus and benefits. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for the role.
