Position Overview
As the National Wholesale Manager, you will be central to the company's commercial success. You will develop and manage the entire on‑trade wholesale channel plan, supporting the UK’s three‑year strategic objectives. This role involves close collaboration with the marketing, commercial finance, and supply chain teams. You will be responsible for building key relationships and using data to drive sales and growth across the wholesale channel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the on‑trade wholesale channel plan.
- Negotiate commercial terms and joint business plans with key partners.
- Implement promotional strategies with marketing and finance teams.
- Drive sales forecast accuracy across the wholesale channel.
- Manage wholesaler data integration into the company CRM.
- Build strong relationships with wholesalers’ sales teams.
- Improve independent free trade sales through data insight.
- Support field sales teams with regional wholesalers.
- Manage and run wholesaler trade shows and events.
- Ensure the full product range is available to national customers.
- Work with the supply chain to manage delivery expectations.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the FMCG industry.
- Existing experience in the wholesale channel is desirable; experience in on‑trade or retail with willingness to move across would also be valued.
- A university degree (2:1 or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret internal and external data.
- A team player with strong communication skills.
- A self‑starter with a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and power pivot.
