Overview of the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded individual to join a growing FMCG business at the start of their commercial career.
Working closely with experienced National Account Managers and senior commercial leaders, you will support the management of key customer relationships across multiple channels while developing the skills and experience required to progress into Account Management.
The role offers broad exposure across sales, customer management, forecasting, promotions and commercial planning, making it an ideal stepping stone for someone looking to build a long-term career within FMCG sales.
Responsibilities
Customer & Account Management
- Support National Account Managers in the day-to-day management of key customer accounts.
- Manage smaller convenience accounts
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of customer presentations, sales reports and business reviews.
- Support the execution of Joint Business Plans and customer growth initiatives.
- Attend customer meetings and contribute to commercial discussions.
Commercial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse sales performance data and identify opportunities for growth.
- Monitor promotional activity, pricing and distribution performance.
- Support forecasting and demand planning processes.
- Provide insight and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teams to deliver customer plans.
- Support new product launches and promotional activations.
- Assist with customer administration including listings, pricing updates and trade terms.
Brand & Market Engagement
- Participate in trade shows, customer events and sampling activities.
- Conduct store visits and competitor reviews to identify opportunities and market trends.
- Develop a strong understanding of customers, shoppers and the wider FMCG landscape.
Requirements

Desirable Experience & Skills
- Previous experience within FMCG, retail, hospitality, sales support or customer-facing roles.
- Placement year, internship or graduate experience within a commercial environment.
- Degree educated or equivalent practical experience.
