Our client is a well-established FMCG and food manufacturing organisation with operations across multiple continents looking for a Procurement Category Manager for MRO/FM and Industrial procurement. You'll own the end-to-end category performance, from supplier selection and relationship management through to delivering annual cost and productivity targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute group-wide buying strategies and policies for the Industrials, MRO and FM category across multiple geographies and business units.
- Optimise the supplier base by identifying opportunities to leverage scale, harmonise specifications, and standardise contractual terms.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, tracking performance against agreed metrics and proactively resolving issues.
- Deliver annual productivity and cost improvement targets through commercial negotiation and category expertise.
- Collaborate across multiple functions and geographies to deliver successful procurement projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical category expertise and commercial guidance to support group-wide sourcing decisions.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Extensive experience in indirect procurement - MRP/FM or Manufacturing focused.
- Demonstrated success delivering commercial value through negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence stakeholders and suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships and challenge thinking constructively.
- Persuasive communicator who can influence and negotiate effectively.
This is a hybrid role where you'll be expected to be in the office 2 days a week with regular travel to other sites. Applicants must hold a valid drivers licence. Salary banding from £80,000 - £90,000 + £7,000 car allowance, bonus and benefits.
