Job Description

Our client, a fast-growing and dynamic food business, is seeking a skilled Demand Analyst to join their supply chain team. This role will be pivotal in managing demand forecasts, working closely with the sales team to support key accounts and contributing to the company's S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and driven by a passion for efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and timely demand forecasts across all product categories, considering weekly, monthly, and promotional sales patterns.
  • Take ownership of forecast accuracy metrics, identifying root causes of variances and implementing corrective actions at the SKU level.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen forecasting processes, ensuring robust projections that support supply planning and product launches.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, fostering a collaborative approach to forecasting and operational projects.
  • Regularly analyse customer data, including EPOS insights and stock levels, to refine forecasting accuracy and provide informed recommendations to the sales team.
  • Support the enhancement of the company's S&OP process, improving ways of working across departments, documenting forecast assumptions, and tracking risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to drive efficiencies and reduce cost-to-serve.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and/or Anaplan is advantageous.
  • Well-organised with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with teams and external partners.
  • Previous experience in demand planning or forecasting within the FMCG sector.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, anticipating challenges and addressing them efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable and open-minded, thriving in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
  • A passion for food and an enthusiasm for contributing to a growing brand.
