We’re partnered with a globally recognised organisation operating within a highly data-driven environment, where governance, accuracy, and transparency are critical to business performance and externally facing outputs. As the business continues to evolve its data capabilities, they are now looking to hire a Data Governance Analyst to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, data quality standards, and operational controls across the organisation. This role sits at the intersection of governance, operations, and analytics, offering a strong mix of hands-on data management, stakeholder collaboration, and process improvement. It would suit someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex environments, improving data quality, and ensuring data is trusted, compliant, and effectively utilised across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the business.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems and datasets.
  • Identify data issues, inconsistencies, and risks, implementing controls and remediation processes to improve accuracy and reliability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure governance standards and best practices are understood and consistently applied.
  • Assist with data audits, compliance activities, and documentation to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
  • Maintain and optimise CRM and database systems, ensuring efficient and compliant data collection and management.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries, governance documentation, and process maps.
  • Analyse operational and stakeholder data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Produce reporting and insights to support business decision-making and governance initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on process optimisation, automation, and governance maturity.
  • Ensure confidential and sensitive data is managed securely and in line with governance and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within data governance, data quality, master data, or data management environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify anomalies or trends.
  • Experience using CRM systems, databases, or data management platforms.
  • Understanding of governance principles, operational controls, and data quality frameworks.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working with structured processes, documentation, and audit requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience supporting process improvement or governance enhancement initiatives would be beneficial.
  • Proficient in Excel and confident working with large volumes of data.
