As a People Generalist, you’ll deliver essential HR operations support across the EMEA region, serving as the primary contact for Germany and Spain. This role is central to supporting our client’s growth strategy, ensuring smooth HR delivery, legal compliance and positive employee experience across multiple countries. You’ll work closely with managers and employees, providing expert guidance on policies, development and employee relations whilst maintaining accurate HR systems and data across the region.
Responsibilities:- Manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, probation reviews, performance management and offboarding across multiple countries
- Advise managers on HR policies, employment law requirements and best practice, particularly in Germany and Spain
- Handle routine employee relations matters, resolving queries and supporting conflict resolution where needed
- Oversee payroll delivery and ensure accurate, timely processing across the EMEA region
- Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and regulations in all operating countries
- Optimise HR systems and data accuracy, maintaining up-to-date employee records and reporting
- Support the delivery of HR initiatives and projects that enhance employee experience and engagement
- Liaise with external partners including payroll providers and legal advisors on compliance matters
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a multi-country or EMEA environment
- Fluency in both German and English (essential)
- Strong knowledge of German employment law and operational employee relations processes
- CIPD qualification (full or part-qualified)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in MS 365 and HR systems such as UKG or Greenhouse
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently across different time zones
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Experience supporting managers on HR policy and development matters
