Awesome opportunity to join this vibrant, fast-growing challenger brand as their very first in-house Finance Assistant, taking full ownership of day-to-day financial operations. Riding a wave of rapid growth across the natural food and beverage space, this business pairs an entrepreneurial, high-energy culture with a clear commercial mission.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the vital financial engine ensuring the business stays agile, compliant, and fully on top of its numbers as it scales. The remit is broad, varied, and truly hands-on. You’ll manage end-to-end transactional work flows: raising accurate sales invoices, driving proactive credit control, processing payables, and managing weekly payment runs. Beyond the ledgers, you will take charge of daily bank reconciliations and cash forecasting, partner with internal teams to streamline document flow, and work closely with external accountants to deliver slick month-end and VAT processes.

Background wise – we’re looking for a motivated finance professional (ideally part-qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT, or qualified by experience) who thrives in a nimble, fast-paced setting. If you have sharp transactional finance skills, a strong working knowledge of Xero, and the friendly persistence needed to chase down paperwork and keep cash moving, we want to hear from you!

Flexible working patterns: 4 or 5 days per week considered (full-time or part-time pro rata). Modern hybrid model based out of their London office with flexible remote days. Exceptional growth potential as the company’s first dedicated in-house finance hire, directly shaping systems and processes. Collaborative, high-energy founder-led environment with potential support towards further professional study.

  • Hands-on transactional finance experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, and daily reconciliations.
  • Confident user of Xero and MS Excel; experience with Dext or similar cloud accounting software is a distinct advantage.
  • Part-qualified / qualified (AAT Level 3/4, ACCA, or CIMA) or strong qualified-by-experience background in an SME or challenger brand environment.
  • Highly organised, proactive communicator who is comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and keeping cash forecasting accurate.
