General Summary:
The Pricing Analytics & Insights, Associate Director, provides senior, end‑to‑end leadership of international pricing analytics, data and governance to enable robust, compliant and forward‑looking pricing decisions. Operating above country level, the role delivers high‑impact insights, safeguards pricing infrastructure and strengthens strategic decision‑making, risk management and pricing capability across global markets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set and lead the international pricing and payer analytics agenda, transforming complex data into actionable insights that directly inform pricing, access and launch decisions across markets.
- Own and steward global pricing systems and infrastructure (VPAR, iCLM) to ensure security, compliance, reliability and scalability of all international pricing decisions.
- Ensure end‑to‑end pricing data governance and audit readiness, safeguarding data integrity, compliance and organisational confidence in pricing outcomes.
- Deliver forward‑looking price forecasting and planning support, strengthening long‑range planning and budget cycles through robust, risk‑aware pricing assumptions.
- Lead cross‑country IRP and pricing risk analyses, proactively identifying spill‑over risks and recommending mitigation strategies to protect global price corridors.
- Embed pricing analytics into brand and portfolio strategy, partnering with IPMA, GVAS and brand teams to support high‑profile brands and launches.
- Drive analytics adoption and capability building, acting as a change leader to improve data literacy, tool usage and decision quality across regional and local teams.
- Influence senior governance and decision‑making forums, translating complex analyses into clear recommendations for executive and committee approval.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Working knowledge of both US and ex-US healthcare systems
- Ability to think strategically and make sound pricing and market access insights/recommendations
- Strong practical, quantitative and analytical skills combined with a sound understanding of how to successfully apply pricing & reimbursement / HEOR principles to support Vertex
- Exhibits outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to professionals at all levels within Vertex
- Relationship building at all levels of the organization and across geographies
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate difficult concepts and persuade others
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Typically requires significant, relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
